Facility and operations management Applies to buildings, vehicles, procurement and operations over which the UN has organizational control. The procedures are of often referred to as greening the UN. One example is greening the UN initiatives. The key procedure is environmental audits.

UN Issue Management Group on Sustainability Management: Greening the Blue Campaign
  Information on how the UN is reducing the environmental impact of its work across a number of functions and activities including travel, buildings, procurement, staff engagement, meetings, distance working, and ICT.
Global Compact & MDG Carbon Facility
  Mainstreams ten principles in business operations with focus on 4 areas: human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. It is voluntary and self-policed, and currently involves 8000 private sector companies. This approach was adapted by the MDG Carbon Facility programme, which included more detailed principles for involuntary resettlement, cultural heritage, and stakeholder engagement.
REDD Standards
  REDD standards reduce emissions from deforestation and forest degradation. Focus is to anticipate and reduce impacts on indigenous and local communities, while also generating social and bio-diversity benefits.
