Report summary

The sixteenth meeting of the senior officials of the Environment Management Group was held in the margins of the sixty-fifth session of the General Assembly in New York on Tuesday, 21 September 2010. The meeting was hosted by the United Nations Department of Social and Economic Affairs (UNDESA).
 The meeting was comprised of two segments as presented in the agenda : a technical segment, at which participants considered a progress report on ongoing work and suggested directions for further work; and a senior officials segment, at which participants considered broader policy issues and actions recommended during the technical segment. The meeting was attended by representatives of 29 member agencies. Presentations made during the meeting are also available below.
