Activities

The EMG follows an issue management approach to its activities. Within this framework, Issue Management Groups (IMGs) are established to address specific issues identified by the EMG members, within an established time frame. All IMG mandates and time frames are decided by the EMG members and a lead agency identified, as needed.  Each IMG lead agency then prepares background documents, organizes and chairs the meetings, and prepares the report on the results of the group’s deliberations. The time-bound ad hoc IMGs cease to exist after completion of their tasks, and the EMG adopts the IMG's report upon completion of their tasks.

• International Industrial Environmental Initiatives

• Environment Related Capacity Building

• Intergovernmental Strategic Plan for Capacity Building and Technology Support (ISP)

• Sustainable Procurement

• Harmonization of reporting for bio-diversity related conventions

• Environmental aspects of fresh water, sanitation and human settlements

• Stocktaking
